Blunders From Global Leaders When They Think No One Is Listening
This week, Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto thought he was having a confidential discussion with US President Donald Trump at the Gaza peace summit in Egypt.
Instead, a live microphone situation captured Prabowo requesting Trump to organize a call with his son Don Jr, who serve as executives at the Trump organization.
It represented only one in a series of gaffes committed by international figures when they assume they're off the record.
Here are several additional noteworthy blunders:
Organ Transplants and Everlasting Life
During a defense ceremony in Beijing in early autumn, China's leader Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin were overheard discussing organ replacement as a approach for prolonging life.
"Vital organs can be continuously replaced. The more you extend your life, the more youthful you get, and you can even achieve immortality," the Russian translator was recorded stating.
Xi, who was off camera, responded in Chinese: "Experts forecast that in the current era people may reach 150 years old."

'Sea Rising at Your Door'
Ex-Australia immigration minister Peter Dutton came under fire in 2015 when he joked about the plight of people in the Pacific facing rising sea levels.
Dutton was conversing with former PM Tony Abbott, who had just returned from environmental talks with regional heads in Port Moresby.
Observing how a migration discussion was running on "Cape York time", Abbott replied: "There was a bit of that up in Port Moresby."
Dutton added: "Time doesn't mean anything when you're about to have water lapping at your door."
These remarks sparked outrage from regional nations and environmentalists, while the opposition Labor party called for Dutton to issue an apology.

'Bigoted Woman'
As Labour prime minister Gordon Brown was on the trail in 2010, he faced a constituent who questioned him on immigration and the economic situation.
Remaining connected to a Sky news microphone when he got into his vehicle, Brown was heard saying: "That was a disaster – they should not have placed me with that individual. Who thought of that? Ridiculous."
When questioned about she had said, he replied: "Everything, she was just a prejudiced person."
This incident dominated headlines for an extended period and Brown ultimately lost the election.
'I Can't Stand Netanyahu. He Lies.'
Ex-American leader Barack Obama was in discussion at the G20 summit in Cannes in 2011 with then French president Nicolas Sarkozy when their remarks about Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu were captured by a live microphone.
Sarkozy said: "I can't stand Netanyahu. He deceives."
According to a account from a translator quoted by Reuters, Obama responded: "You've had enough but I must work with him frequently than you."
'Total ***hole'
A classic hot-mic moment from former White House hopeful George W. Bush happened as he made a negative comment about a journalist from The New York Times.
The GOP candidate was unaware that a recording device was active when he leaned over to Dick Cheney at a political event and remarked, "That's Adam Clymer, major league asshole from the New York Times."
Cheney answered: "Absolutely, that's true, big time."
