Suspected Bondi Attackers Acted Independently and Received No Instruction in the Philippines, Authorities Confirm.

The two alleged individuals responsible for the lethal incident at a Hanukkah gathering on Bondi Beach, that took 15 lives, appear to have been lone actors, as stated by Australian authorities.

Police additionally revealed that the 50-year-old Sajid Akram, and his son Naveed Akram travelled to the Philippines on 1 November. Their itinerary included landing in the capital Manila before transiting that same day to Davao City. The pair returned to Sydney on 29 November.

Lack of Proof of Planning During Stay

Police indicate the pair did not partake in any type of terrorist coaching or "logistical preparation" during their stay in the Philippines. Preliminary investigations from local officials point to they "rarely left" their hotel.

The attack—described as Australia's deadliest firearm massacre since 1996—has been officially designated a act of terrorism.
